Narcissus Hand Decorated Mirrors
Featuring Original Designs & a Unique Technique
Each frame is hand painted in acrylics. While the frame is drying, Constance rolls out acrylic paints on sheets of paper using a brayer. Interesting unique patterns result. Constance leaves these to dry and sketches out various themes – fish, lizards, fruit, leaves, abstract shapes, etc. on paper. Constance then superimposes the shapes on the decorated paper, cuts them out, arranges and fixes them on the frames. The results are rich in color and nuances. Sometimes Constance aims for a trompe l’oeil effect.
The frames are finished with a clear, non-toxic protective coat. Sturdy hangers and felt pads are added to the back. Each frame is signed and one-of-a-kind. All sizes are approximate.
